What will be your job?

As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and implementing robust software solutions, driving efficient development processes, and contributing to the technical growth of our team. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing our digital infrastructure and ensuring seamless software delivery. You’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact by leveraging your technical skills to push boundaries and shape our digital landscape.

In this position you will be responsible for the technical roadmap of the Tunga platform(s), and thus a key partner for a variety of stakeholders, including our finance department, business units, and C-level executives. Your ability to translate business requirements into solid code is instrumental for the growth of Tunga. As such, we expect you to hold your own in tough architectural decisions and to be a true leader for our development team.

What will you be doing?

– Lead the end-to-end development of both front-end and back-end applications, ensuring a cohesive user experience and high-performance functionalities;

– Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver innovative solutions;

– Architect, implement and manage DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and containerization;

– Drive technical discussions and decisions, sharing your expertise with team members;

– Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, continuously optimizing software performance and reliability;

– Coach and support your development team and ensure they have everything they need to grow in their career.

What do you bring to the table?

– Minimum 3 years experience working as a professional software developer in a cross-functional development team;

– Comfortable with remote tech and software environments;

– Proficiency in front-end technologies such as React and TypeScript;

– Expert back-end development skills using Python and Django, building robust APIs and managing data models;

– Extensive experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes);

– Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges;

– Exceptional teamwork and communication skills, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team;

– Previous leadership experience or a willingness to mentor and guide junior developers.
