Develop practical skills by working on real-life projects that challenge you to think creatively and apply what you learn.
Flexible pricing
The fee for each track is $300, payable upfront or through instalments. Limited scholarships are available; indicate interest on the application form.
Diverse Learning Tracks
Track 1: Fullstack web development
Fullstack web development basics, covering HTML, CSS, JavaScript with NodeJS for server work, and basic MySQL database handling.
Track 2: Frontend frameworks
Explores popular and frontend frameworks. ReactJS with Bootstrap and Vue3 with TailwindCSS, allocating 7 weeks to each pair. Two weeks for the final assignment.
Track 3: Backend with JavaScript
Focused on NodeJS and ExpressJS. One or two weeks of front-end (React, Vue). Databases, API’s. Relational and non-relational databases.
Track 4: Backend microservices
Emphasizing structured frontend-backend communication. It includes a Python basics review and explores frameworks like Django and possibly FastAPI.

Consequently, the Academy aims to bridge this gap by offering accessible, top-tier education and mentorship, fostering a new generation of skilled and experienced African software developers.

Who can join the Tech Impact Academy?
The Tech Impact Academy is built for aspiring African software developers who are committed to developing themselves and looking for international job opportunities but do not currently have the skills or experience to enter the international market. Note that Ugandan and Nigerian residents have priority. However, residents from other African countries are also welcome to apply as paid participants.

Do I have a chance to get a scholarship?
We only have a limited number of scholarships available and those will be granted based on a number of criteria, country of residence (Uganda or Nigeria), employment status and level of experience being key.
