Frequently Asked Questions

How to get an assignment to work on Tunga?

Once you are on Tunga, it is important that you have filled out your profile as much as possible. Based on your profile, you will be notified by email of interesting opportunities. You can also view all opportunities on our Slack, or on work.tunga.io. With each opportunity comes a button you can press to apply. Your application will then be reviewed by our Talent team, who will review your profile and test results. Oftentimes, you will be asked to do additional tests to get a better understanding of your fit with the opportunity. If that goes well, you will be introduced to the client for a potential interview. If selected by the client, our Sales team will help you to prepare and put your best foot forward!

What is the minimum requirement to apply for a job?

Once admitted to Tunga, there is no minimum requirement to apply for a job. However, in the opportunity, the specific requirements are mentioned, along with the necessary tests. If you do not meet these requirements, it does not make much sense to apply.

How long does it take between when I join the platform and getting a job?

There is no set time for how long it will take you to get a job on Tunga. Some developers find a great assignment within a matter of weeks, for others it can take up to a year. Unfortunately, this depends heavily on the specific opportunities our clients present us with, which also fluctuates depending on the market. So it could be that there are suddenly a bunch of React opportunities, and the other month a lot of .NET assignments. Best is to have your profile continuously updated so you will be informed about relevant opportunities.

After expressing interest in a role, what does one expect to happen next in terms of feedback afterward, whether positive/ negative?

After expressing interest in a role, you should expect feedback from the Talent team within a couple of days, be it negative or positive. However, once we introduce you to a client, we have limited influence on the decision making process, and some clients just need more time than usual to make the decision to hire someone. We strive to keep you in the loop as much as possible at any stage of the process, though.
