Tunga Academy is a hands-on training platform for African professionals. The academy was founded by Tunga. With 10 years of experience in staffing African software developers at our international clients, we understand the skills required for success in today’s job market. Tunga Academy offers online learning tailored to the needs of African (tech) talent, with a strong focus on essential people and professional skills. These skills are critical for a thriving career and increasingly important in the AI era.
Since launching in 2023, Tunga Academy helped over 100 talents graduate from our specialized tech tracks and supported fast-growing African and international tech companies. Over the past 2.5 years, we’ve built and refined our structure, products and offerings based on feedback from both participants and the broader target group. With a solid foundation in place, it’s time for the academy to enter its next phase as an independent entity. This is a unique opportunity for an African entrepreneur to become the driving force behind an established and meaningful venture. One that is shaping the careers of African professionals. There is immense potential to scale the academy, reaching the workforce across Africa with a fully online offering that extends beyond tech.
We are looking for an ambitious CEO/entrepreneur to take Tunga Academy into the next phase of growth.
What will be your role?
- – Lead the academy, driving its growth and long-term sustainability.
- – Manage the academy team including already trained trainers.
- – Improve and expand the academy’s offerings.
- – Explore new revenue streams and market opportunities.
- – Strengthen Tunga Academy’s brand positioning to enhance visibility and credibility.
- – Act as project manager for subsidized academy projects (currently two in the pipeline).
- – Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, sponsors and stakeholders.
